ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Fifteen students from Georgia Baptist churches have been recognized this year for their academic excellence and commitment to the mission of Christ. Each recipient was selected for outstanding achievement in both the classroom and their spiritual leadership.
The incoming freshmen are enrolled at one of the three Georgia Baptist-affiliated universities, where they will continue to live out their calling and represent the next generation of Kingdom-minded leaders. Each student will receive $1000 per year while attending Brewton-Parker Christian University, Shorter University, or Truett McConnell University.
“We celebrate these outstanding students from our Georgia Baptist churches. Each of these students demonstrates academic excellence and missional involvement. The future is bright because of young people like these, and we are grateful they have chosen to attend one of our Georgia Baptist universities,” said Andy Childs, assistant executive director of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
