Rock the House Ministries, Inc., in cooperation with The International Bible Reading Association, is hosting the first-ever complete Public Bible Reading Marathon at the Crisp County Courthouse from Friday, April 10, 2026, through Friday, April 17, 2026.
"…Devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture” (1 Timothy 4:13).
After the opening ceremony on April 10 at 6:00 pm, we will begin reading the Bible from Genesis 1 through Revelation 22 in 15-minute segments, to be read by volunteers. It is expected to take 90 hours of actual Bible reading and is expected to finish on April 17 at 6pm. After publicly reading through the entire written Word of God, we will then have the closing ceremony with song and worship for the Living Word of God, Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
The event will be open to all and will serve to unite our county with the Proclamation of the Word of God.
Schedule:
Friday, April 10, 2026: 6:00 pm Opening Ceremony; 7:00 pm reading until 10:00 pm
Saturday, April 11, 2026: 8:00 am reading until 9:30 pm
Sunday, April 12, 2026: 1:00 pm reading until 9:30 pm
Monday, April 13, 2026: 8:00 am reading until 9:30 pm
Tuesday, April 14, 2026: 8:00 am reading until 9:30 pm
Wednesday, April 15, 2026: 8:00 am reading until 9:30 pm
Thursday, April 16, 2026: 8:00 am reading until 9:30 pm
Friday, April 17, 2026: 8:00 am reading until 6:00 pm; Closing Ceremony (1 hour) until 7:00 pm
