String Strong orchestra camp to be held at Truett McConnell again this year

Posted

String Strong, a one-day string orchestra camp, will be held at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Ga., on Saturday, June 15, from 9am - 5pm, culminating in a concert at the end of the day.

The camp offers orchestra classes and improvisation classes for string students ages 8-17 with a minimum of one year of playing experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass.

All of the teachers are involved musically in their local churches where they share their music talent. Two of the teachers are adjunct string professors at Truett McConnell University. All five teachers have thriving music studios and three of them are Suzuki Violin teachers bringing years of experience to the camp. Two of the teachers direct homeschool orchestras in their community. A wealth of music knowledge is wrapped up in these five teachers and they look forward to encouraging string students at this camp.

Tuition is $35.00 and does not include lunch. Contact co-director, Colleen Lively at 404-509-8471 or c.lively1981@gmail.com for more information and for orchestra placement.
