MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — Brewton-Parker College has been named one of the top ten most ethnically diverse Regional Colleges for the South region. The 2023 U.S. News and World Reports Best Colleges surveys rate colleges on the regional and national level, with BPC ranking regionally in two categories. Since last year, BPC has moved categories from the National Liberal Arts Colleges lists to the Regional Colleges - South list. This region has a total of 132 schools.

It was the strangest thing:  all of a sudden, she looked older.  Much older.  Her face was all wrinkly.  She saw it every time she looked in the mirror.  And her legs, they had varicose veins.   Everywhere.  She’d never noticed those.  Something strange must have happened during the surgery.  She would need to mention it all to her doctor when she went for follow up. Adam Greenway not going to IMB

NASHVILLE (BP) — In a post on Twitter Wednesday morning, former Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary President Adam W. Greenway announced that he would not be moving to a new position with the International Mission Board.

IMB missionary pipeline surpasses 1,100

Four years ago, 300 candidates waited in IMB’s missionary pipeline, considering a call to the nations. That pipeline just surpassed the 1,100 mark, the highest in decades. This means that more than 1,100 individuals have started the process to help solve the world’s greatest problem – lostness – by becoming missionaries with the IMB.

FORT WORTH, Texas (BP) — Following a special-called meeting of the Board of Trustees of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Chairman Danny Roberts today announced that trustees have invited O.S. Hawkins and David S. Dockery to provide joint leadership to the seminary during the interim period. Dockery will serve as interim president, while Hawkins will serve as senior advisor and ambassador-at-large.

McDONOUGH, Ga. – Four people surrendered their lives to ministry at a missions conference for Georgia college students last weekend, and three others made salvation decisions. FORT WORTH, Texas (BP) — Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary announced Friday that President Adam W. Greenway has resigned from his post effective immediately. In the announcement, the seminary stated Greenway had accepted a position with the International Mission Board.

Bible Study: Heeding God’s direction

NASHVILLE (BP) – This week’s Bible study is adapted from the MasterWork curriculum by Lifeway Christian Resources, and focuses on Numbers 13 – 1 Samuel 8.

A few weeks ago, my friend and neighbor, Paige, spotted beautiful apples on our other neighbor’s tree.  Since we both love the delicious fruit, she encouraged me to ask if we could pick some.
