DENVER (AP) — Travis d’Arnaud homered twice, including a grand slam, and drove in a career-high six runs as the Atlanta Braves pounced on Colorado’s struggling pitching in a 13-6 rout of the Rockies. D’Arnaud was 3 for 5 and scored three times as the Braves piled up 18 hits against the Rockies, who have allowed 39 runs over the past three games.

PHOENIX (AP) — Austin Riley hit a three-run homer, William Contreras had three hits and Kyle Wright threw six scoreless innings in the Braves’ 6-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Riley’s homer broke open a close game in the seventh for the Braves, who salvaged the final game and avoided their first three-game losing streak of the season.

LONDON (AP) — Lautaro Martínez, Ángel Di María and Paulo Dybala scored to lead Argentina to a 3-0 victory over Italy in the first Finalissima meeting of the South American and European champions. Lionel Messi had assists for Martínez and Dybala.

PHOENIX (AP) — Cooper Hummel’s game-winning double landed just fair down the right-field line in the 10th inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks kept rallying to beat the Atlanta Braves 8-7.

DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — Nick Saban tried to put an end to his feud with Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher at the Southeastern Conference meetings. Two weeks after alleging the Aggies were buying players with name, image and likeness deals, Saban told reporters that he never accused anyone of wrongdoing and that he has “no problem” with Fisher, his former assistant.

PARIS (AP) — French authorities have defended police for indiscriminately firing tear gas and pepper spray at Liverpool supporters at the Champions League final while blaming industrial levels of fraud that saw 30,000 to 40,000 people try to enter the Stade de France with fake tickets or none at all.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Chris Kreider scored twice, and the New York Rangers ended Carolina’s perfect postseason run at home by beating the Hurricanes 6-2 in the decisive Game 7 of their second-round playoff series. Igor Shesterkin was strong in net again, finishing with 36 saves. New York won for the fifth straight time in an elimination game this postseason.

CONCORD, N.C. (AP) — Denny Hamlin held off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch in overtime to win the longest — and perhaps wildest — Coca-Cola 600 in history. NASCAR’s longest and most grueling race lasted more than 5 1/2 hours and took 413 laps to complete.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Marcus Ericsson, once a Formula One backmarker, is now an IndyCar frontrunner. And an Indianapolis 500 champion.

ATLANTA (AP) — Marcell Ozuna believes a season-high nine extra-base hits is a sure sign the Atlanta Braves' bats are returning to their World Series championship form.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Colton Herta rolled his Indianapolis 500 car end-over-end during the final practice for Sunday's race. The start driver for Andretti Autosport was uninjured but Friday's crash destroyed the Andretti Autosport Honda. He will need a backup for Sunday’s race.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — Marcus Mariota already has shown he's willing to serve as a mentor for Atlanta Falcons rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder. Mariota also says he's hungry to beat out Ridder and earn the job as the Falcons starting quarterback.

ATLANTA (AP) — Aaron Nola struck out 10 while pitching shutout ball into the ninth inning for his first victory since opening day, leading the Philadelphia Phillies over the Atlanta Braves 4-1. J.T. Realmuto homered as the Phillies prevented the World Series champion Braves from posting their first three-game winning streak of the season.

ATLANTA (AP) — Dansby Swanson scored the tiebreaking run in the fifth inning on an excruciating defensive sequence by the Phillies, and the Atlanta Braves beat Philadelphia 8-4. Swanson singled and came around to score for a 5-4 lead on a play that started with a wild pitch by reliever José Alvarado and a high throw from catcher J.T. Realmuto in an attempt to keep Swanson from reaching second. The ball sailed past the outstretched gloves of Jean Segura at second and Bryson Stott at shortstop, then went under the glove of center fielder Odúbel Herrera for a two-base error.

ATLANTA (AP) — William Contreras singled home Ronald Acuña Jr. in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Atlanta Braves a 6-5 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — An autopsy report shows that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was legally drunk when he was fatally struck by a dump truck on a Florida highway last month. The Broward County Medical Examiner said in its report released Monday that Haskins' blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal level for driving when he was struck April 9.

ATLANTA (AP) — Zack Wheeler pitched 6 2/3 strong innings with a season-high 10 strikeouts, Rhys Hoskins knocked in three runs with an early double and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 7-3.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Scott Dixon used a breathtaking run of more than 234 mph to post the fastest Indianapolis 500 pole run in history. The New Zealander will lead the field to green in “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” for the fifth time in his career.

Then, on the back nine on Sunday, Justin Thomas went on a charge to force a playoff. Mito Pereira dunked a tee shot into the water and disappeared. And Thomas emerged with a victory that was downright spectacular.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Keston Hiura hit a two-run, winning homer off Jesse Chavez in the 11th inning as the Milwaukee Brewers rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the Atlanta Braves 7-6.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Ronald Acuña Jr. returned to action, Marcell Ozuna hit a two-run homer and the Atlanta Braves ended their scoring drought in a 3-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
